In the heart of New York City, just steps from the bright lights of Times Square, Carnegie Pizza stands out as a beacon for lovers of authentic New York-style pizza. Located at 200 W 41st Street, this pizza restaurant strikes a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, offering an extensive menu that caters to both classic tastes and adventurous palates.
The moment you bite into a slice here, you immediately appreciate the craft behind their pizza base. It boasts a crisp crust with just the right amount of chew, embodying the ideal texture that New Yorkers crave. Whether you opt for a simple Plain Cheese or venture into one of their signature pies like the fresh Mozzarella Margherita, the spicy Pepperoni, or the uniquely delightful Upside Down pizza, each slice is a testament to quality and bold flavor.
Carnegie Pizza’s offerings go beyond just the slices. Their Garlic Knots pack a potent punch of garlic, perfect as a savory sidekick, while the Chicken Rolls and Calzones deliver hearty, well-seasoned options for those looking to diversify their meal. The salads-Carnegie or Caesar-provide a fresh counterbalance to the rich, cheese-laden pizzas, rounding out the menu thoughtfully.
What makes Carnegie Pizza truly special, aside from their well-crafted pies, is the value they bring. At $5 for a one-topping slice and $32 for a full pie, the pricing remains competitive in an area where indulgence often comes at a premium. They even cater to dietary needs with a gluten-free personal pie option, showing attention to inclusivity.
Service at Carnegie Pizza is swift and friendly, matching the energy of the city itself. Customers frequently mention the knowledgeable staff who are happy to guide diners through the diverse pizza selection. While seating is limited-just a few tables-it hardly diminishes the experience; standing with a slice in hand amid the lively atmosphere feels quintessentially New York.
In essence, Carnegie Pizza is more than just a convenient meal option near Times Square. It’s a celebration of classic New York pizza done masterfully. The flavorful sauce, generous cheese, and perfectly crisp crust come together in every slice, creating a comforting, satisfying bite that invites repeat visits. For those seeking an authentic, delicious, and reasonably priced pizza experience in the city that never sleeps, Carnegie Pizza is a must-try culinary gem.

Anytime we go to NYC, we avoid the tourist traps that charge 7 dollars for a slice of pizza and head to Carnegie Pizza. The service is quick, options are high, prices are great for the area, and the pizza is fantastic. My absolute favorite is the upside down pizza. You won’t be disappointed.

I absolutely loved Carnegie Pizza in NYC. The menu was a full display of different pizzas, which made it fun to choose. There were four of us and we all ordered different slices every one was delicious and perfectly cooked. They also have a great selection of drinks, including sodas as well as beer and wine, which was a nice bonus. The customer service was friendly and knowledgeable, and they were happy to explain the options. The environment was clean, though small. The only downside is the seating. There are only about three tables, so it was difficult to sit down during a busy time. Thankfully, someone was kind enough to let us share their table. Overall, great pizza, great service, and solid options

Delicious fresh pizza and the staff was super nice! The garlic knots were SUPER garlicky! I mean like a lot haha! Very limited seating but worth standing up to enjoy their delicious food.

Great gem in Time Square. Has a large variety of pizza toppings and is a great alternate to Joe’s pizza. The pizza bases and crust has a nice crisp. It’s a NY pizza slice done well.

Great pizza. The slice was $4-$5, but the sauce had great flavor. The crust had a nice crunch and good chewiness, and there was a good amount of cheese. Classic New York slice, simple and satisfying.

The pizza here is nothing short of perfect. It is the BEST pizza I've had EVER. The crust is crispy to perfection, the sauce is delicious, and the pepperoni is top notch. Their vegetarian options are solid, as well. Would highly recommend.

We tasted four different pizzas (both vegetarian and meat pizzas). Pizzas were ok, though the crust was a bit too crispy for our liking. They have huge variety of pizzas, also vegetarian options! While it wasn't the best pizza we've had in NYC, it's good quick option if you're in the area. The service was friendly, but the dining area (the tables and chairs) could have been a bit cleaner. We could still come back again if we would be nearby and need quickly something to eat!

Stopped into Carnegie Pizza and grabbed a couple slices and a Coke. The pepperoni slice had a nice crisp on the bottom with plenty of flavor, and the pepperoni and sausage slice was loaded and satisfying. The crust held up well, not floppy, and the cheese had that classic New York stretch. It’s a great quick stop in the middle of Times Square. Fast service, solid portions, and exactly what you want when you’re craving a legit NYC slice. I’d definitely swing back through.
